Title: Medical Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Chief of the OB-GYN Teaching Health Center Program + Doctor/MD
Dr. Molrine Tracey, who has been with CHI since 2009, has been the Medical Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department since 2012. She is also the Chief of the OB/GYN Practice Program of the Brodes H. Hartley Jr. Teaching Health Center at CHI.
A native Jamaican, Dr. Tracey relocated with her family to the United States and began to pursue her dream of becoming a physician. She matriculated into the University of Miami where she received a bachelor’s degree in medical technology.
She has always been extremely passionate about the health and physical welfare of women and for 18 years made a positive impact as a cytotechnologist, which is the microscopic interpretation of cells to detect cancer and other abnormalities.
With her insatiable desire to be more impactful as a hands-on clinician, Dr. Tracey went on to fulfill her lifelong calling as a doctor of medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She later completed her obstetrics/gynecology residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia.
In addition to her traditional degrees, Dr. Tracey also holds an MBA from Florida International University, as well as a master’s degree in biomedical science from Barry University in Miami.
When she is not busy helping patients, Dr. Tracey enjoys reading, playing the piano, and a good game of tennis. She also loves to travel and spend time participating in church activities.
